BREWERY / GERMANY
the one half of the GOETTINGER BRAUHAUS burnt down some years ago, (the newest calendar we found in there was from 1990)....on our first visit one year ago, we enterd trough a window ,we could reach by climbing up the first roof...we nearly trapped ourself by jumping into a dead room wich had just one crack in the wall but no other exit .... we had to be very careful with the lights and flashlight because of the very close neighbours who also run a little business in the yard of the brewery...we discoverd alot of interessing (an old mill for grain directly under the roof ,with some grains still laying there) and some very scary things in there (like the single chair in the cellar) other room were just disturbing (the one with the plastic balls on the floor)...after a while we lost our sensitivity for our lights and the neighbour saw us in there...we could wach them turning down their lights and staring out their windows and then rushing to the phone(?)....so we decided to leave as fast as possible....but we then found the part with the babyblue tiles and couldn't resist to stay alittle bit longer ,with our paranoia raising...and then suddently we heard steps coming closer and even thought we saw flashlights....end of part one.
on our second visit to this wonderful place we used the same way to enter, over the rooftop trough the broken window...and than we went straight to the part of the building we havent seen before wich turned out to be quite huge...first we found the rooms were the huge beercontainers must have been, where the beer riped..from there we climbed into the air circulating tunnels wich lead into the main chimney, but without climbing gear it was impossible to go up the inside of the chimney...besides the tunnels there were also other rooms wich must have been filled by the beer gas , because the walls were covered in strange black mold and the metal part in these rooms were corroded as hell (the rusty pump nearly fell apart by touching it)...the walls were also covered by strange scratchmarks wich could have been there as traces from the constructing tools (hopefully)...and then we discoveresd the breathing gadged, a long tube with a mask at the end (what a horrible job to crawl into these spaces with the mask on in the stinking beer smell)...then we discovered some other huge tanks with actually some very impressive traces of the fire ,wich destroyed most of the brewery, molten tar...wich looked like it was liquid still but scattered into splinters when you touch it...the next strange thing we found in there was a pretty new designer sofa (maybe someone used the beautiful background for a porn movie, but why the sofa? it's so ugly)...from the roof we had a very nice view over the whole city ,it was christmas eve and the town was very quiet then...on our way back down we found some more huge and very deep pools, scary to imagine being trapped in one of these...another scary thing was to discover that there used to be a room 101 (thinking of orwell's 1984) but it turned out to be a bathroom with very strange grafitti (TUTTI FRUTTI was the first german tv show with bare breasted women in it.)...the architecture in the whole building is very strange because on some parts it is like the building has been filled up with bricks (like on the door closed by bricks with the plastic curtain) or a huge blade has cutted off the rest (like the assembly line ,wich was used to transport bottle boxes from the filling to the storage halls)...following the transport line we came to a huge hall with a lot of machines ( from the rest of the building maybe, because it was pretty empty.) and a hard leaking roof ,it was like it was raining in there (very loud dripping sounds)...ther were also some sort of office rooms with a lot of windows between the single rooms. we left the building trough a groundlevel door wich was only to open from the inside.
