JETTENHOEHLE / GERMANY
during the summer of 006 we went up to the place of the jettenhoehle again, because during the dry period there is a way to another smaller cave. when the muddy lake is nearly dried out, all the algea is tangled in the broken down trees and the roots laying in the water...it has a surreal image quality to me. it was very hot that time, but climbing down the mouth of the cave we nearly started to freeze, it was like the clean spirit of the spoiled lake above, lay hidden in this dark hole underground, the water was cool and clear (malaria!)...and the reflecting lights from above wich has been filtered trough the leaves of the trees (there where two openings) gave it a beautiful colour, too.
